This perennial produces saucer-shaped flowers that come in a wide range of colours. They all appear from February to April above the deep green leaves. They make attractive ground cover plants for areas of shade under deciduous trees and shrubs.This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.
