In early spring, Prunus 'Pandora' is flooded with unusual white flowers with pretty shell-pink patterns on them. The single flowers open from deep pink buds and are very popular with bees. Young bronzed red foliage follows, developing to mid-green and then vibrant shades of deep reds and oranges in the autumn.
This tree has an elegant form with ascending branches that create a slightly columnar ornamental cherry tree and will reach an estimated height and spread of 5 x 3 metres in 20 years. As with many other Flowering Cherry Trees it grows well in most soils excluding the extremes. Prunus 'Pandora' is a lovely small tree that looks wonderful grown as a single specimen and has the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
