If the branches are trained upwards, an irregular, broad, weeping shape develops. This makes 'Pendula' eminently suited as a solitary tree. The dark, blue-green needles grow in groups, with up to 30 bundled together. The ovoid, upright cones grow singly or in pairs and have a round top. 'Pendula' saplings are particularly sensitive to frost, requiring a sunny site sheltered from wind. \u003c\/span\u003eis an elegant, large conifer with drooping branches. At first, Cedrus deodara Pendula grows in a pyramidal form, before broadening gracefully with age.
